On November 22nd, the TREEADS project participated in the Wildfire Risk Management (WFRM) Project Clustering Event organized by the European Research Ececutive agency together with the Firelogue project at the Royal Bibliotheque of Belgium. This hybrid event brought together stakeholders from the scientific community and institutions to address critical issues in wildfire risk management.
The clustering event delved into practical advancements, addressing topics like wildfire risk assessments, governance, and the coherence of policies related to managing wildfire risk, including forestry strategies. During the event, the TREEADS oral presentation, titled ‘Common Impact Assessment and Implementing Integrated Wildfire Risk Management’, played a key role in discussing cutting-edge tools and techniques.
In the context of TREEADS, the significance of this event extends to fostering collaboration with other EU fire projects, establishing valuable partnerships, and engaging with the EU Commission. The fruitful discussions held during the event paved the way for numerous bilateral discussions, further strengthening TREEADS network and commitment to advancing innovative solutions in the realm of fire management.
