The TREEADS Wildfire Game is here! Designed as part of the TREEADS project, this engaging and interactive game helps children and adults alike understand the risks, prevention strategies, and firefighting techniques related to wildfires.
Why Wildfire Awareness Matters
Wildfires pose a serious threat to forests, wildlife, and communities. The TREEADS project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program (Grant No. 101036926), develops innovative solutions for wildfire prevention, detection, and management. One of our key initiatives is to educate the public—and what better way to do this than through a game?
How to Play
The TREEADS Wildfire Game is a memory-based card game designed for 2-4 players. The goal is to match 12 different card pairs, each representing a critical aspect of wildfires and forest protection. By playing, participants learn about:
- Causes of wildfires
- Firefighting techniques
- Forest ecosystems
- Human impact on wildfire prevention
- Emergency response strategies
Each pair of cards is color-coded and symbol-marked, making it easy to identify and learn in a fun and engaging way. Players take turns flipping cards, finding matches, and discussing the information provided on each topic.
More Than Just a Game
The TREEADS Wildfire Game is an exciting way to introduce young minds to the importance of forest conservation, climate change, and emergency preparedness. It’s not just about playing—it’s about learning, engaging, and taking action to protect our environment.
