TREEADS continues its commitment to promoting sustainable wildfire management practices through active participation in educational initiatives. On February 11, 2025, Dr. Pere Pons (UdG) delivered an insightful presentation titled “La gestió postincendi / Postfire Management” as part of the online Wildfire Management Course organized by the Catalan Official Association of Environmentalists (COAMB).
Bringing TREEADS Expertise to Wildfire Recovery
The presentation focused on sustainable postfire management strategies, emphasizing the immediate environmental assessment of burned areas, restoration efforts, and the integration of the TREEADS Postfire Management Decision Support System. Attended by approximately 22 participants, the course attracted key stakeholders, including technical staff from administrations, environmental specialists, and forestry professionals.
