More news on our successful pilot in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria!
On the 6th and 7th of September, the Austrian Pilot, hosted by Freiwillige Feuerwehr Gumpoldskirchen, allowed us to showcase technologies designed to combat wildfires more effectively, also taking into account prevention and reforestation efforts.
The pilot not only featured interesting presentations by some of TREEADS partners but also a live demonstration which highlighted the importance of understanding how different environmental factors influence fire behaviour – vital knowledge that will help us develop more precise and targeted strategies for wildfire prevention and control. The demonstration also included drone flights, showing the participants how drones can be used for reforestation, and testing AR/VR helmets, providing the participants with a glimpse into the future of wildfire management.
Thank you to Freiwillige Feuerwehr Gumpoldskirchen, especially Richard Feischl and his team, and all involved partners for an outstanding collaboration!
