TREEADS Drone technologies presentation at CPWG

Loading Events

We are excited to share that the TREEADS project recently participated in a Civil Protection Working Group (CPWG) meeting, led by the FIRELOUGE project. This collaborative event brought together industry experts, firefighters, forest owners, and key stakeholders to explore innovative approaches to wildfire management, with a particular focus on drone technologies and remote tools.

Held on October 18th, the CPWG meeting provided an engaging platform to present ACCELIGENCE’s advancements in drone technology, alongside our partner EAC-WHISPER, within the framework of the TREEADS project. The presentations showcased the operational capabilities of ACCELI drones, highlighting their technical specifications, payload capacities, and unique ROS integrations. More information was provided on the drones’ advanced remote sensing technologies, embedded AI capabilities, and data transmission and storage solutions, essential for real-time wildfire monitoring and response.

Highlights from ACCELIGENCE’s Presentation:

– Technical Specifications: Details on autonomy, payload, weight, and dimensions.
– Operational Capabilities: Insights into deployment in rugged terrains and extreme weather conditions.
– ROS (Robot Operating System): Overview of the open-source architecture used and integration of AI for enhanced operational efficiency.
– Embedded Sensors: Focus on optronic and other high-precision sensors designed for early wildfire detection.
– Data Management: Robust data transmission and storage solutions supporting real-time insights.
– Field Trials: Results from trial tests and the technology’s current maturity level.

Our involvement in the TREEADS project underscores our commitment to advancing the integration of drone technology for environmental protection. Through collaboration with projects like SILVANUS and expertise across various sectors, we’re setting new standards in wildfire management and resilience.

We extend our gratitude to all CPWG members for an insightful Q&A session and look forward to continuing our work to bring effective, market-ready solutions to the field of wildfire prevention and response.
