Taiwanese pilot site

Small house with AAM concrete

Description

The TAIWAN pilot will utilize the knowledge distributed among the Pilots in a demo site located in Miaoli County, Taiwan. In that area, a concrete structure will be made using the alkali activated materials (AAM), which is produced by post-wildfire ashes incorporating by-products such as steel slag and fly ash.

  • Recycling and application of post-wildfire wood ashes;
  • Development of new infrastructure building materials with fire resistance; and
  • Improvement of the early warning system of wildfire incidents.
  • Develop and evaluate the fire-resistant materials and achieve ultra-early fire detection, including sensors, and an open standards network infrastructure, monitoring, analytics and alert services.
