SUMMARY:Spanish Pilot Final Event – Showcasing Innovation in Wildfire Management
DESCRIPTION:On May 8th\, 2025\, the city of Ávila\, in the region of Castilla y León\, Spain\, hosted the Spanish Pilot Final Event of the TREEADS project under the theme: \n“Leading Technological Innovation Against Environmental Disasters: Advanced Strategies for the Prevention\, Detection and Restoration of Wildfires.” \nThe event brought together key national and regional stakeholders\, scientific experts\, technology providers\, and media representatives to review the wildfire situation in Spain and present the impactful results of the TREEADS project. Special focus was given to the outcomes developed and tested in the Spanish pilot across the entire wildfire management lifecycle—from prevention and preparedness to real-time response and ecosystem restoration. \nThroughout the day\, attendees were introduced to an array of innovative tools\, including UAV-based monitoring systems\, 3D mapping technologies\, and AI-powered risk analysis dashboards. The TREEADS partners provided live demonstrations and discussed the technical progress made through Work Packages 3\, 4\, 5\, 8\, 9\, and 10. \nThe event concluded with an interactive roundtable session\, where participants from institutions\, forestry agencies\, and technology partners engaged in open dialogue about the applicability and future of the tools developed. SUMMARY:TREEADS Presents Final Results of Spanish Pilot at Ávila Event
DESCRIPTION:On May 8\, 2025\, the TREEADS project held its Spanish Pilot Final Event in Ávila\, Castilla y León\, under the title “Leading Technological Innovation Against Environmental Disasters: Advanced Strategies for Forest Fire Prevention\, Detection and Restoration”. \nThe event brought together approximately 40 representatives from scientific institutions\, technology partners\, national authorities\, and media to present the final results of the Spanish pilot activities. Key stakeholders including FAFCYLE\, Diputación de Ávila (DdA)\, University of Salamanca (USAL)\, and Capgemini participated in the presentations. \nThe program began with an analysis of Spain’s current forest fire situation by regional and national administration representatives. The TREEADS team then presented comprehensive results from all phases of the Spanish pilot: \n\n\nPrevention strategies developed under the project \n\n\nAdvanced detection technologies tested \n\n\nInnovative restoration approaches implemented \n\n\nA highlight of the event was the roundtable discussion that allowed participants to examine the practical applications of TREEADS tools.
