SUMMARY:Webinar Announcement: Enhancing Wildfire Resilience through TREEADS Detection and Response Innovations
DESCRIPTION:Webinar Announcement: Enhancing Wildfire Resilience through TREEADS Detection and Response Innovations  \nJoin us for the third webinar in the series: “TREEADS Technologies for Wildfire Resilience”. Find the recordings of previous webinars HERE.   \nThe TREEADS project is pleased to invite you to the third webinar in our series aimed at showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions developed to address wildfire challenges. The webinar will take place on February 27th\, 2025\, at 14:00 pm CET via Webex. The webinar is free\, but registration is required. This session will highlight three innovative detection and response solutions designed to enhance wildfire preparedness\, monitoring\, and emergency decision-making. From interactive mapping tools to advanced fire detection frameworks and real-time decision support systems\, these TREEADS solutions demonstrate the power of data-driven solutions in improving wildfire resilience and response effectiveness. \nFREE REGISTER HEREWebinar Agenda  \n\nIntroduction to TREEADS and the Knowledge Marketplace Repository (KMR) (5 min) \n\nPresented by Maria Pantazidou (INNOV-ACTS LIMITED)  \n\nSolution 1: Map service based on OpenStreetMap (15 min) \n\nA flexible\, interactive\, and dynamic mapping tool based on OpenStreetMap (OSM) database that offers information and suggestions to individuals and authorities related to wildfires prevention\, detection\, and restoration.  \nPresented by Athanasios Bantsos (Engineers for Business – EFB)  \n\nSolution 2: Framework of Resilient Context-aware Detection of Emerging Fire-related Situations (15 min) \n\nThe TREEADS Event-Driven and Context-Aware Fire Detector (EDSD) enhances wildfire management by integrating real-time data from meteorological stations\, sensors\, satellites\, and AI-analysed UAV images. It continuously assesses fire risks\, compares conditions with meteorological models\, and predicts fire propagation and crowd dynamics. Using contextual cues\, analytics algorithms trigger fire response workflows\, engaging local authorities\, firefighters\, and environmental experts. Detected hazards\, including endangered animals or vehicles\, are relayed through dashboards\, mobile apps\, AR-enabled helmets\, or text alerts. EDSD operates alongside the TREEADS Workflow Response Engine (WRE) to streamline crisis response\, improve stakeholder collaboration\, and support proactive wildfire management.  \nPresented by Angela – Maria Despotopoulou (Frontier Innovations – FI)  \n\nSolution 3: Wildfire Response Engine (WRE) decision support tool (15 min) \n\nThe TREEADS Wildfire Response Engine (WRE) enhances wildfire management by integrating real-time data from meteorological stations\, sensors\, satellites\, and AI-analysed UAV images through its companion\, the TREEADS Event-Driven and Context-Aware Fire Detector (EDSD). It continuously monitors fire conditions\, compares them with meteorological models\, and predicts fire propagation and crowd movement. A preconfigured Rule Engine\, developed with domain experts\, automates fire response workflows based on predefined event patterns and similarity metrics. This ensures rapid\, context-aware decision-making\, engaging key stakeholders like local authorities\, firefighters\, and environmental experts. Detected hazards\, including endangered animals or vehicles\, are relayed via dashboards\, mobile apps\, AR-enabled helmets\, or text alerts\, streamlining crisis management with precision and efficiency.  \nPresented by Angela – Maria Despotopoulou (Frontier Innovations – FI)  \n\nQ&A Session (10 min) \n\nWho Should Attend?  \nThis webinar is ideal for:  \n\nEmergency responders and disaster management professionals \n\n\nWildfire management authorities and policymakers \n\n\nGIS and mapping specialists \n\n\nEnvironmental scientists and researchers \n\n\nTechnology developers and AI specialists \n\n\nNGOs and community stakeholders focused on disaster resilience \n\n\nAnyone interested in advanced wildfire detection and response solutions \n\n  \nAbout TREEADS Knowledge Marketplace Repository (KMR)  \nThe KMR is a comprehensive platform developed by TREEADS to promote\, disseminate\, and commercialize solutions for wildfire prevention\, preparedness\, detection\, and restoration. It serves as a resource hub\, sales channel\, and training center for wildfire technologies and knowledge. Learn more about TREEADS KMR and register here: https://knowledge-hub.treeads-project.eu/?page_id=1548   \nRegister now to reserve your spot and be part of the wildfire resilience movement! https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wildfire-resilience-through-treeads-detection-and-response-innovations-tickets-1245339085729?aff=oddtdtcreator   \nThis webinar is part of the TREEADS project that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101036926.   \nFollow us on LinkedIn and Twitter to stay up to date with project developments and latest news!
