TREEADS project, recently participated in the CERIS Annual Event 2024: Disaster-Resilient Societies – From Local to International Cooperation, on June 5th-7th, in Brussels, Belgium.
TREEADS, proudly represented by our Coordinator, Kemal Arsava (FRN), and more than 25 EU (research and capacity building) projects with more than 40 speakers in various panels, involving policy-makers, scientists, practitioners, SMEs and civil society organisations, worked together to set up an agenda that covered discussions over existing and developing networking initiatives from the international to the local levels in support of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) policies, synergies between DRR research and capacity-building projects, as well as enhanced access to knowledge in societal resilience, technologies for first and second responders, prevention/preparedness for climate / weather extreme events and geohazards, and resilience to CBRN threats with focus on medical emergencies.
The TREEADS Consortium looks forward to future insightful CERIS events and activities and thanks the organisers for putting together yet another highly-relevant event.
