The TREEADS project participated in the Austrian Fire Brigade Association (ÖBFV) meeting held in Lebring Styria, Austria from May 12th to May 13th, 2022.
The TREEADS representatives, Freiwillige Feuerwehr Gumpoldskirchen (FGK), Ing. Feischl Richard (IFR), and the Professional fire brigade and civil protection department Graz (BFG) had the opportunity to meet Forest Fire Experts from the Fire Brigade Association Austria Special Force SG 5.2 at this very interesting meeting organized by the Austrian Fire Brigade Association.
The aim of this action was to introduce the project and present a TREEADS short overview as well as to highlight how the Austrian Fire Brigade benefits from TREEADS. During the meeting, there were discussions and inputs from the Expert Committee, and Austrian Operations internal reporting. Reports on topics relevant to the “Fighting of Vegetation Fires” were also provided.
The Austrian Fire Brigade Association was founded in Vienna in 1889 and is the umbrella organization for the Austrian state fire brigade associations and communities with professional fire services. The highest committee of the Austrian Fire Brigade Association is the Austrian Fire Brigade Board.
